With the rapid development of economic, the road traffic entering a period of rapid development, traffic issues came to the fore. Road traffic planning should be moderate advance, to avoid the situation of the traffic flow of some road is very large, but some road is very small. China’s urban roads and land use belonging to different department for managingt and planning, the separation of government functions has aiso led to the separation of road plan and land use, few people considered both of them at the same time. In order to solve the problem, to make better service for road traffic, the road plan needs to be from the perspective of land use for the further study. In order to analyze the impact of land use on road traffic planning, this article from the perspective of land use, studying on the impact of land use on traffic, and then carrying out the road traffic planning, this article foucuses on studying the needs of road traffic based on land use, and then based on the prediction of traffic to get further improvement on road network planning. Firstiy, the article starts with the basic theory, combines with the traditional four stages of TRANSCAD software, and makes improvement on its first stage method, to predict the future traffic and network saturation index etc of the research region in the future year. Based on these indicators, we can provide some references for relevant department on lane configuration and line width planning according the design specification. Finally, the article combining with the road network around Tianjing Second Children’s Hospital for empirical research, using the model to predict the surrounding road network, and then making the appropriate road traffic planning.
