With the development of automobile industry,the technology continuous progress and the ergonomics be more professional. The interurban bus is one of the goods vehicle types. It compared with passenger car has a large number of loading and the pilot work intensity, long working hours, etc. But in recent years, transportation accident frequency increases, highway passenger transportation accident frequency increases, the huge casualties and property losses. So it get more and more Important to design the bus which makes the drivers safety.In this paper, an interurban bus is the layout object, which base on the traditional methods and the relevant standards,and be checked and researched deeply by using the RAMSIS. The research makes progress in the mirror view and the critical traffic situations,to a certain extent,it also reduce the security hidden danger.On the design of driving posture, the design experience was used to layout the driver seat, the clutch, the brake pedal the accelerator pedal and the steering wheel. Then, check 95 th male model, 50 th male model and 5th female model of Chinese body model in RAMSIS by the Discomfort Assessment.On the checking reachable of drivers, SAEJ287-1988 driver hand control reach was used to layout the location of buttons and knobs. RAMSIS was used to analyzed that also, found that the use of RAMSIS to get the commonly used location, which made a better humanized design.On the design of direct view, it used A column blind analysis, SAE eye ellipse,GB 11562-1994, instrument panel zone analysis, etc. layout the instrument panel and design the brim of instrument panel, then RAMSIS was used to check the design.On the design of indirect vision, GB15084-2013 and RAMSIS were used to analyze the indirect vision of the exterior view mirror,and layout the location. in addition,use RAMSIS to build traffic scenery to simulate the driving situation,it also targeted research two special traffic scenery, found the method to reduce security problems.There was no vision requirement about interior view mirror in traditional ways. Our market survey informs us what drivers’ requirement, so RAMSIS was used to analyze the indirect vision of the interior view mirror. Through this method, we can contrast between different locations of interior view mirrors, in order to get the best vision.
