Electric vehicle which is friendly to environment will be the future trend of development, and its accompanying charging stations’building is one of the factors that restrict the EVs’ development. Therefore, the construction of charging stations is also very important. In this thesis, we combine wind-solar energy with charging station and design a hybrid wind-photovoltaic EVs charging station whose area is approximately 3000m2. Firstly, in this thesis, the advantages and disadvantages of each design scheme are discussed, and then the overall scheme and power distribution systems are designed. While actually constructing the hybrid wind-photovoltaic EVs charging station, many problems need to be considered, such as charging station’s address, electric energy management within the hybrid wind-photovoltaic charging station and the harmonics of the charging station accessing point before charging station is constructed. Besides, how to reduce the impact on environment should be considered too. Based on all above mentioned, we study deeply on the electric energy management of charging station and the harmonics suppression of the charging station accessing point.In this thesis, the main jobs can be shown as follows:(1) In this thesis, the advantages and disadvantages of designs which are used to build the hybrid wind-photovoltaic EVs charging station are analyzed and finally the design called the grid-connected hybrid wind-photovoltaic EVs charging station is selected. The design includes many important aspects such as the installation angle of PV modules, distance between the front and rear of PV modules, selection of the wind power generation systems, energy storage systems and charger, designing power distribution systems for the charging station and introducing a lot of factors which need to be considered when we construct the actual station.(2) After creating a model of the various parts of the hybrid wind-photovoltaic EVs charging station, we develop optimization scheduling policy based on the characteristics of the hybrid wind-photovoltaic EVs charging station to determine the scheduling instructions, including the circumstances of each generator’s output, the charging power and discharging power of the battery, the electric energy exchanged between the grid and the charging station. The corresponding model of unit commitment with the objective of maximizing the revenue is built. Then the PSO algorithm is used to solve the optimization model for electric energy optimization scheduling problem. The simulation of the hybrid wind-photovoltaic EVs charging station proves the feasibility of the optimization strategy and the algorithm(3) MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation platform is used to build a simulation model of charging stations and FFT method is used to analyze the characteristics of harmonic currents when a single charger or multiple charger is working and get some conclusions about the characteristics of harmonic. Simulation result shows that the THD of charging station is significantly greater than the national requirement for THD on charging station accessing point. At last, several methods about suppressing harmonics are introduced in this thesis.
