1.Objective and experimental methodIn this dissertation, the harm and source of VOC for automobile interior decoration materials are introduced. For the current domestic and international two kinds of automotive interior materials VOC detection method-Tedlar bag and headspace method, gas chromatography mass spectrometry are used to verify the two kinds of automobile interior material. In addition, the detection resμLts of the two methods are compared, the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods are analyzed, and the proposed solutions are put forward.Method:The polyurethane automotive interior material sample is provided by is provided by a polyurethane manufacturer of Suzhou Wujiang.1.Head-space GC-MS methodA certain amount of sample was placed in the headspace bottle, heated at a certain temperature, and determined by gas chromatography mass spectrometry.2.Tedlar bag methodPutting the samples into appropriate size Tedlar bag, heated the sealed bag in the oven 2 hours at 65℃, and then collected the gas with Tenax adsorption tube and Air pump. Finally, the sampling tube was used to determine benzene series compounds VOC with thermal desorption gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The adsorbent was eluted with organic reagents, and the eluates were detected aldehydes VOC using liquid chromatography.2.ResμLt and discussion1.Detection the benzene series VOC with Head space-GC-MSThe experimental conditions were set as follow:Temperature:the temperature of heating furnace at 65 ℃, quantitative tube at a temperature of 100℃, transfer tube at 110 ℃. Time:the pressure increase continued for 19 seconds, gas press 16 seconds, sampling continued for 5 seconds. The main benzene series VOC are Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, M/P-xylene, O-xylene, Styrene, their correlation coefficients of regression equation are 0.999,0.9998,0.9994,0.9995,0.9995 and 0.9993 with the RSD of 4.2%, 5.4%,6.0%,6.9%,5.7% and 6.4%. Their recoveries are 101.5%,100.2%,99.6%,99.0%, 97.9% and 98.0% and the limits of detection (LOD) are 0.0021μg/g,0.0015μg/g, 0.0018μg/g,0.0025μg/g,0.0015μg/g and 0.0009μg/g, respectively. It has good stability, sensitivity and recovery rates, which indicated that the proposed method is a promising approach for the detection of benzene series VOC.2 Detection the benzene series VOC and aldehydes VOC with Tedlar bag methodThe main benzene series VOC are benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, m/p-xylene, o-xylene and styrene. Their correlation coefficients of regression equation are 0.9964, 0.9956,0.9973,0.9982,0.9964 and 0.9987 with the RSD of 6.9%,9.5%,9.5%,7.9%, 6.4% and 9.8%. Their recoveries are 97.6%,96.4%,95.0%,99.2%,101.8% and 103.1% and the LOD are 0.0406μg/g,0.0245μg/g,0.0371μg/g,0.0110 μg/g,0.0312μg/g and 0.0333μg/g, respectively.The main aldehydes VOC are formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acrolein, their correlation coefficients of regression equation are 0.9999,0.9997 and 0.9992 with the RSD of 1.9%,2.9% and 3.7%. Their recoveries are 99.7%,99.2% and 100.0% and the LOD are 0.0015μg/g,0.0030μg/g and 0.0015μg/g. The proposed method possesses good stability, recovery rate and lower detection limit, demonstrating a more convenient and extensive prospect of application for aldehydes VOC.3.ConclusionAfter being compared and analyzed the difference between the two method resμts, both the two methods are suit for the determination of automotive interior VOC content. The Head-space GC-MS method is better than Tedlar bag method on linearity, stability and recovery. The LOD of Head-Space GC-MS method is lower than Tedlar bag method. But the Tedlar bag method can be used for determination of aldehydes VOC.Therefore, the head-space GC-MS method shoμLd be used for the detection of benzene series VOC and the Tedlar bag method shoμLd be used for aldehydes VOC,both of the two methods shoμLd be adopted in the testing standard.
