Control System Design For Automatic Soldering Assembly Line Base On Rockwell Control Logix Platform

In automotive EPS(Electrical Power Steering) automatic soldering assembly line, the whole line features complex structure, high automation, difficulty in control, and high safety requirements. Base on the Rockwell ControLogix platform, the electric control system of the whole line was studied and designed. According to the production process and the line composition, standardized and modularized hardware design and control network were contructed by means of Rockwell Company’s global leader EtherNet/IP open network architecture, hardware facilities and software system, which simplifies the hardware connection, and reduces the cost. In this thesis, based on the analysis of the EPS controller integration solder line production process and the characteristics of EtherNet bus technology are analyzed, the author finished the design and realization of solder line base on EtherNet. The author has carried on a deep analysis to the fieldbus technology, especially the technological characteristic of EtherNet. Based on the analysis of the whole line control tasks, the whole line control programs were planned accordingly, and the general control programs of typical stations and typical equipment were developed.Through establishing subroutine for each station of whole line and creat controller variables and program variables for each controller tags and program tags, enhancing the readability of program, improving the efficiency of programming, shorting the development cycle time of lines, and realizing the standardized and modularized control program. Factory Talk View Studio software is used for the monitor screen design, powerful ControLogix 1756-L72 controller is suing the process station. All station HMIs(human machine interface) exchange data with PLC processors via Ethernet witch. HMI software was also been designed friendly and visualized and easy to use for the operator and engineer.To make useful explore and accumulate techniques, in course of design and debugging, we fully see the trends of automation and products, and explore the data transmission between the soldering robot and cognex camera to offset the coordinates of robot in the project and also combine theories with application in our country to design the standardized and modularized program for whole line. Accumulate the technical experience on the way of automatic equipment manufacturing of Chinese automobile and try differenct and meaningful technicial in controls field.
