With the development of economy and the active guidance of national policy, the model of our domestic residential decoration is undergoing regeneration gradually. With the constant growth of housing decoration industry, the concept of "refined-decoration" is gradually becoming the future trends for the industry. However, because of constraint factors such as social economy, cognitive level, industrial policy and technical development, the domestic decoration industry still have huge develop space compared to the foreign. It still lacks comprehensive system, and it still has defects such as incomplete institution, low development level and so on.Therefore, based on the refined decoration modle, our research group has developed an information management platform for housing refined decoration. Based on the platform and the characteristics of decoration construction schedule and decoration in groups, the optimization model of decoration construction schedule with resource constraints is proposed in the paper. Considering the time limit of projects in groups as the optimization objective, genetic algorithm is designed to solve the problem, and the optimization results are analyzed. The results can be used to arrange construction personnel properly, optimize project plans and minimize the duration of projects.The contents of the paper include the following aspects:The first chapter illustrates the development status of decoration industry and the research process of our project, and the problem of decoration plans and processes of houses in groups with constrains of resources is illustrated. The contents and general framework of this thesis with current research status of relative fields are also presented.The second chapter summarized the theoretical basis of optimization of decoration plans and processes in groups. Firstly, the characteristics of house decoration are analyzed. Secondly, the contents of process and plan of projects and the optimization objectives are analyzed. Thirdly, the prototype of the problem, namely the decoration plans and processes of houses in groups with resource constrains, is defined RCPSP. At last, constraints, objective functions and solutions of RCPSP are introduced.The third chapter analyzes the components of optimization of decoration plans and processes in groups, which include resources, sub-divisional work of housing projects, project groups and objectives. Based on the analysis above, the methodology model is established and genetic algorithm is used to solve the problem. Furthermore, the details of the used genetic algorithm are designed according to the proposed model.The fourth chapter presents the validation with cases and the analysis of optimization results. Firstly, according to the model and the case information, genetic algorithm is carried out using MATLAB to get the plan and process of projects and arrangement of resources. Secondly, through the analysis of the results, the duration of the overall project is delayed, but the level of resource equilibrium is improved. At last, the effect caused by different combination of resources and constrain levels is analyzed with genetic algorithm.The fifth chapter presents the conclusion and future work.
