With the rapid development of the infrastructure, project cost control has gained more and more application in our enterprise. However, project cost control in our project management application is not perfect, it is urgent to explore effective ways of practical application of these models according to China’s actual situation. Based on the author’s actual work about Nanjing. China Merchants Financial Center reconstruction project, the thesis studies the project’s cost control.First, the thesis introduces the basic theory of project cost control, direct and indirect factors as well as two basic methods about the project cost:analysis and control of earned value method, and explicits the step of project cost control. Then, the thesis launched cost control based on Nanjing International Finance Center Renewal Project, specifically the cost of the reconstruction project of the constitution, on this basis, the cost of each of the elements of risk assessment and get the cost of each element of priority by AHP level. After that, the thesis studies the construction cost control scheme of Nanjing International Finance Center, and clears the goal of cost control, the principles. Besides, the thesis designs materials engineering major, engineering and engineering changes. Finally, the costs offset construction phase were analyzed, and the corresponding corrective measures are put forward to guide the construction, meanwhile the thesis also uses the earned value method for future project costs prediction. Cost control measures are taken by each of the above stages, and ultimately the thesis finishs the cost control objectives of Nanjing International Finance Center Renewal Project.
