Throughout the world’s economic development path, the development of national economy in any country depends on the development of electric energy to some extent. In recent years, although the overall level of China’s power has been greatly improved, the voltage fluctuation is relatively large and its quality is difficult to achieve the national standards in the vast rural areas rely mainly on the single phase power supply. Based on the actual problem, the project, cooperating with Shenyang Qiangwei Flame-proof Motors &Electric Appliances Plant, is to develop the 750 W rated power single-phase capacitor starting and running asynchronous motor, with good starting and running performance and running in140V-260 V voltage range reliably. At present, all single-phase motor design programs cannot be used in the design of single-phase motor, running the wide voltage range. In order to meet the actual needs, the design program of the general single-phase asynchronous motor with wide voltage is written by using MATLAB, and it can also be used to develop other type single-phase asynchronous motors with wide voltage range. The research work of this paper is to develop a universal electromagnetic design program of single-phase asynchronous motor with wide voltage, to build the motor development platform and design the single-phase asynchronous motor to meet the requirements.The motor design platform mainly consists of two parts, which are the electromagnetic calculation program and the human-computer interaction interface. The two parts are developed respectively, and then the perfect combination of them is presented.First, according to the basic principle of single-phase asynchronous motor electromagnetic calculation and the structure characteristics of the motor, the flow chart for the design of motor is drawn, and then the motor main structure, winding parameters, magnetic parameters, rated performance parameters, starting performance parameters, no-load performance and maximum performance parameters, mechanical characteristic output curve and structural parameters and other related performance parameters are given by the program.Then, the human-computer interaction interface of the program is developed and combined with the electromagnetic design program of the motor by using MATLAB GUI as application development tool, in which the classified data input and related motor structure are displayed. The results of the motor structure and performance parameters are displayed in anew window of the platform and the mechanical performance of the motor is also displayed in the image form.At last, according to the actual needs, a single-phase induction motor to meet the requirements is designed. The motor model is established by the Ansoft, and the simulation analysis of the motor is given to verify the motor performance and the program practicality.
