In order to adapt transport development needs and improve the service quality of asphalt pavement,Adding additives to asphalt material is an effective way to improve the performance of asphalt pavement material. This paper, based on the current status of the application of various additives, proposed that waste powder of printer is used as a modifier for asphalt modification. Through indoors experimental research, analysised and evaluated performance of the carbon powder modified asphalt pavement, discussed the mechanism of carbon powder modified asphalt, provided a theoretical basis for carbon powder modified asphalt in using at asphalt pavement.This paper based on the domestic and international research about modified asphalt, combined theoretical methods with experimental methods, first, through ordinary asphalt tests of different amounts of carbon powder modified asphalt, such as softening point, penetration, ductility test, segregation,60℃ dynamic viscosity and other performance indicators, and compared with 70# asphalt about those indicators to study the effects of carbon powder on the asphalt high temperature performance, low temperature performance and thermal performance.Based on this, proceed PG performance level grading tests of the different added amount of carbon powder modified bitumen. On the basis of research on asphalt, proceeded modified asphalt mixture performance test of the different added amount of carbon powder modified bitumen, aggregate gradation patterns was dense-graded AC-20, determined the optimal asphalt-aggregate ratio by Marshall test, mixed ordinary asphalt mixture nd carbon powder modified asphalt mixture.Through tests of asphalt mixture water stability, high, temperature stability and low temperature cracking resistance, studied compared such as the Marshall stability of asphalt concrete, current value, soaking Marshall stability, freeze-thaw splitting strength ratio, dynamic stability, low breaking strength, the maximum bending tensile strain, low stiffness modulus splitting parameters,conducted a comprehensive experimental study about different added amount of carbon powder modified bitumen, Finally concluded that 10% of the added amount of toner asphalt’s high temperature performance can be improved without affecting its temperature performance, through the mix test, the toner can improve high temperature performance of asphalt mixture, water and stable performance.Finally, based on analysis of test results this paper,proceed technical and economic comparison analysis of 10% of the added amount of tone rcarbon powder modified bitumen, showed that carbon powder modified bitumen has obvious social, economic benefits and great use value.
