The Research On The Landscape And Protection Of Yangwan Ancient Village In Dongshan Town

Yangwan ancient village located in Suzhou Dongshan Bay of Taihu Lake Basin, is still to maintainthe stability characteristics of ancient villages and its human settlement, villages pattern, residentialbuildings and traditional atmosphere are all under a good inheritance and protection. In the process ofurbanization, the research and conservation of ancient village landscape is particularly important. Onthe occasion that YangWan ancient village was included in the Sixth Chinese Historical and CulturalVillage List, in order to make the style and feature of the ancient village Yangwan get completeprotection and development, so as to spread and develop Suzhou traditional cultural heritage andguiding the modern urban planning and design methods, we use literature research, field researchmethods, analysis and other methods to analyze the landscape and protection of Yangwan ancientvillage.At the beginning, we analyze the location, natural conditions, cultural conditions, history, etc. ofDongshan Town and Yangwan Village, then summarize its cultural conditions and social conditions onits landscape formation and development. The landscape level is analyzed from building unit, streetspace to node spaces. Among them, the research of construction unit for the village is mainly researchedon its public buildings and residential buildings by analyzing morphological combinations of the villagebuilding layout, building structures, materials and decorative; and for its road space we mainly researchthe plane, section, spatial scales, side interface, end interface; for the village node space we divide itinto entrance landscape, roadway intersection node and water space. In the end, this paper concludes theprinciples and theoretical basis for the protection and development of ancient villages and proposesspecific strategies for village conservation and development combined with the actual local conditions.
