With the development of the technology,the life of people gets more and more better,and the people's requirement of the automobiles gets more and more higher.The automobile companies pay more attention to the comfort and handing stability,which according to the requirements of the customers.At the same time,due to the rapid development of computer technology,computer software used in different aspects.In the automotive field,the application of virtual prototype technology can greatly reduce the time investment,capital investment,and manpower of the automobile from design,manufacturing,and testing.This thesis introduces the origin and the development of the Formula Student Racing in two aspects which are domestic and overseas;Suspensions play a very important role in the vehicle's handling stability,smoothness,and steering.This paper carefully divides suspensions into three categories from different aspects,and analyzes various types of suspensions from various aspects disadvantages and advantages,by comparing the characteristics of different suspensions,combined with competition rules and national standards,the dual-arm suspension is selected as the front suspension of the car;It also introduces how the college student formula racing suspension specifically affects that performance of the car,and how to improve optimization.It also introduces the relationship between the suspension of Formula Student Racing and the performance of the racing.Because the good performance of the suspension is the necessary point for the comfort and handing stability of the racing,to find a suitable methodology of the suspension is very urgent.This thesis summarizes the relationship between the virtual prototype and automobile.And regards the suspension of Formula Student Racing as the main research object,the simulation analysis software is used to simulate and optimize different hard-point parameters of the front suspension of the car.At the same time,the overall operational stability of the car is analyzed and the overall performance of a car is evaluated.Firstly,the physical model of the ADAMS / CAR software component is used to transform the physical car to simplify the physical model.The 3D drawing software CATIA is used to obtain the coordinates of each hard point of the racing suspension(X,Y,Z),and input the hard point coordinates.In the established ADAMS physical model and make appropriate adjustments.In the dynamic simulation of the front suspension system,two-wheel co-simulation is selected,and the simulation test is performed by setting parameter settings such as a wheel jump range that meets the requirements for the design of the formula car of Chinese college students.It can be obtained that the curve of camber angle in the same direction jump,the curve of the camber angle of the kingpin in the same direction,the curve of the camber angle of the kingpin in the same direction curve.Through the ADAMS / INSIGHT module,the kingpin inclination angle and the kingpin inclination angle derived from the four curves are set as design goals.By analyzing the sensitive parameters affecting the maneuverability and stability of the front suspension,the main several design variables that affect the design goals,determine the objective function and use the square sum weighting method to solve the problem,Input the constraints before the optimization starts,and then optimize and select the optimized coordinate points,re-enter the front suspension model for the second simulation.To compare and analyze the four first charts which are the first and second simulated.The active safety of the car is mainly related to the handling stability of the vehicle,and research on the handling stability of the car is very important.It will greatly reflect the performance of the car under real working conditions,and it is a good reference for the optimization of the car.At last in the analysis and evaluation of handling stability of FSAE racing car,the steady-state slewing test,serpentine driving test,steering portability test,lowspeed steering returnability test,and high-speed steering returnability test are described in detail.Test parameter setting,data simulation analysis,and result calculation and evaluation.Finally,through the integration of the results of various test data and evaluation,the optimization results of the front suspension and the overall handling stability evaluation scores of the college student formula car are obtained.
