Vehicle handling stability is an important evaluation index of automobile performance,but more important for FSAE formula racing.The influence between the matching of stiffness and the vehicle handling stability is explored in this dissertation with a modal of Electric Formula Racing Car.Firstly,the development of the FSAE events and the stability of formula racing car are introduced in this dissertation,the similarities and differences with the stability between racing car and ordinary passenger car are mainly described.In addition,the influencing factors of the stability of formula racing car,the influence of structural factors and environmental factors are described in detail.And then,the evaluation method of car handling stability and evaluation index are introduced.Secondly,the stiffness of suspension system will be calculated in detail.The calculation process of the suspension stiffness is mainly introduced in this dissertation.In addition,according to calculation process and calculation formula in MATLAB / GUI to write a calculation program to simplify the suspension stiffness calculation process.Considering that the suspension stiffness needs to be adjusted in the stiffness matching,the design and optimization of the stabilizer bars are carried out.According to the calculated result of the stabilizer bar,the stabilizer bar of the front and rear suspension are mainly carried out to design and calculate the stiffness.The stabilizer bar with Watt's link is used in rear suspension to achieve the multi-level adjustment and help adjusting the stiffness.Finally,ADAMS / Car is used to build the multi-body dynamic model of the vehicle,the model is used to evaluate the vehicle handling stability by full-vehicle simulation.The comparison between with and without Watt's link shows the advantage to the performance.Then,the stiffness of the car is modified to simulate the suspension to achieve the purpose of suspension matching.
