| Following the rule of the Chinese college students FSAE race, the FSAE racing car virtual prototype is established by using ADAMS/Car based on the multi-body dynamics theory and combined with our Car design and manufacturing. And then the front suspension model and full-car model were simulated and analyzed.At first this paper introduced the development of vehicle handling stability, evaluation system, the development of system dynamics, and related theories, then recording the design data of FSAE racing car, according to the racing vehicle virtual prototype modeling process, respectively established front and rear suspension system, steering system, power system, braking system, tire model and so on in the ADAMS/Car, and a parallel wheel travel simulation of front suspension system was performed, and analysis of simulation results, kingpin inclination Angle, wheel camber Angle, toe Angle and the roll center height parameter variation is too big. In the ADAMS/Insight module optimization performed. Compared with previous simulation results, the optimized parameters change is obviously decreased, and movement characteristics of the suspension was optimized, and the vehicle steering stability of the car is improved.The hard point coordinates were modified according to the results of the suspension to optimize, assemble various systems on the car.the full-car model on the vehicle handling and stability was simulated based on GB/T6323-1994requirements, including steady rotation, steering wheel angle step input, teering wheel angle pulse input,steering portability, etc.6typical test. The test results through parametric analysis, showed a good racing steering stability. The simulation result data for assessing the car, improving and optimization provide important theoretical reference. |
