According to the report by CAUES, one billion tons of garbage have been generated per year during these years. The total amount of garbage made in China has reached top three across the whole world. The amount of municipal garbage has rapidly increased by from 5%to 8% per year. Considering such factors as economy and technology nowadays, garbage landfill is taken as the most effective and primary method to deal with municipal garbage. But many disadvantages exist when applying this technology. Many problems on the safety of engineering and environment are likely to occur during the operating of landfill and after the sealing of the field. Such as calculation on the subsidence of the accumulation body and on the time to reach the stability of settlement, analysis on the stability of side slope, facilities to collect poisonous substance, renewal of damaged facilities, leaking of percolate and noxious gas, etc. The calculation on the subsidence of landfill is one of the topics that researchers focus on.This article to landfills in the analysis and research on soil organic matter degradation, the city landfill stabilization process in five different stabilization stage of the garbage soil in vestigated parameters to determine, on the basis of the classical landfill settlement calculation model, layered on landfill treatment, each stabilization phase in vestigated parameters, the calculation method is more in line with the actual situation of landfill site.And by using the classification of finite difference numerical simulation software FLAC3 D numerical simulation was made for the settlement of the landfill, in numerical simulation, each layer of garbage soil parameters is also increased with the increase of computing time step change,according to the division of landfill waste stabilization process single garbage soil mechanics parameters, realize the settlement of the landfill garbage soil with dual function relation of time and stress.This article USES the method of combining the theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, through using the method of cell layered city landfill settlement problem,the following conclusions:(1) As for a garbage landfill with the height of 60 meters, the subsidence could amount to21.14 meters. The subsidence reaches 4.91 meters, which makes up to 23% of the total subsidence. The settlement reaches 16.23 after the landfill is sealed, which takes up to 77% of the total settlement, Landfill settlement calculation for large deformation is calculated.(2) Owing to the primary settlement was caused by additional load of the upper layer garbage, the settlement, during landfill, is linearly correlated to the duration of the landfill.After the landfill is sealed, subsidence is mainly caused by the degradation of organic mattersof soil, and the settlement is largely correlated with the process of stabilization.(3) Differential settlement of landfill is severe and should be attached importance to. The largest settlement occurs at the center of landfill foundation, which is 3 meters more than that of periphery of landfill. Hence, subsidence and differential subsidence should be checked by calculation when it comes to the design and construction of inner structures such as inter-layer liner, systems of waste gas and percolate gathering and recharging, seepage-proofing of foundation and peripheral.
