Research On The Space System In The Traditional Settlement Of Yulinbu Courier Station In Beijing Yanqing

The thesis studies on the space system in traditional settlement of Yulinbu courier station in Beijing yanqing. Attempting to understand the building systems in the traditional settlement of Yulinbu courier station more comprehensively, I study on it by starting from the function of the courier station, focusing on the spatial construction in settlement and courtyard and building monomer, and comparing with the similar settlement space. After a lot of traditional researching methods, such as surveying and mapping, interviewing and information gathering, supplementing with computer modeling and manual models which is close to reality, I make a comprehensive study on the settlement and the construction of domestic architectures in Yulinbu, and explore the traditional building techniques and the modulus relation contained in this kind of unnatural village space in Yulinbu.The thesis is divided into eight chapters.The first chapter is the introduction which briefly analyzes the framework of the thesis and the study of background, existing circumstances, content and methodology.The second chapter starts from the history of Yulinbu, then briefly summarizes the south and north city stettlement triangle layout, the current streets and the existing wall ruins. Try to understand and sort out the object of study fundamentally which will provide the theory base for follow-up ideas of this research.The third chapter is about the courtyard types of Yulinbu courier station. Analyze the basic types of Yulinbu courtyard and study on the functions and the combinations of it, which is based on the shapes and the roads divided in ancient Yulinbu.The fourth chapter preliminary reviews the basic profile of the existing 12 yard, then select six typical courtyard to make a comprehensive analysis and damage description.The fifth chapter is the traditional building techniques contained in local-style dwellings in Yulinbu. The most complex structure, Wu-Lin front porch, is as an example to analyze timber frames of local-style dwellings in Yulinbu, and make an in depth study of its installation and characteristics of the components and the modulus relation contained in the doors and windows. Try to seek out regularities and the traditional building techniques of building monomer in local-style dwellings in Yulinbu.The sixth chapter proposes the module relationship in courtyard and settlement, seeking out regularities and rules in the space system in the settlement based on the study of the contents of fourth and third;then takes the fifth chapter as the foundation, and studies the doors and windows member modulus in a single building, analyzes the characteristics of windows and doors from the angle of data.The seventh chapter is the comparison between Yulinbu courier station and Jimingyi courier station. By comparing the layout and the space system in the settlement between the two courier station, I found that the connections in them are not only in natures and functions, but also in the fixed form of the settlement and the series-parallel connection in the space system in the settlement.
