With the increasing demand for energy, more and more construction of water conservancy and hydropower projects have been developed in karst region of china where is always accompanied with complex engineering geological conditions and serious leakage problem.Curtain grouting technology is widely used in traditional reinforcement processing and anti-infiltration engineering, which have got great of development with the introduction of curtain grouting technology. But many engineering construction still be completed only by the experience of similar engineering, even though lots of research on the construction method and construction parameters have be done for Karst region, due to the particularity of stratum from different region and engineering conditions and limit of technology. Although there are conventional curtain grouting technical reference for karst area, but it still remain in the stage of exploration and summary. Therefore, Curtain Grouting in karst area, as a gradually formed system of technology and subject, still remain in the process of evolving in the several aspects about design, construction, quality inspection and evaluation.Different filling process and selection of parameters can make crucial impact to completing engineering, designing impervious purpose, costing of the completed project. This article relies on the Da Teng Gorge hydropower station impervious curtain project to research the curtain grouting technology and expect it to help similar projects. Main conclusions are as follows:1. Reviewed and summarized the current situation and development trend of the infiltration proof of reservoir in karst region at domestic and overseas.2. Gotten the Curtain Grouting construction technology and selection of parameters from summarizing the grouting technology and grouting theory.3. Research on Curtain Grouting have be done based on the actual geological conditions of Da Teng Gorge hydro-junction. Then, compared large-diameter technology drilling with segmental perfusion technology from the practical perspective, concluding that down-the-hole hammer drilling technology combined with subparagraph Grouting method is more suitable for the area considering the complexity of the project and the construction efficiency.4. Using FLAC 3D numerical simulated curtain grouting engineering in different construction parameters of the Da Teng gorge hydropower station, gotten the diffusing situations of Grouting in Karst area and provide the gist for its design.5.Based on the analysis of the simulated grouting volume and the actual grouting volume, the formation of the karst cave volume in a certain area is obtained.
