| With the development of technology and people living standard, the Internet of things like intelligent household and security industry is having a great boom. And there must be more and more families building intelligent and security household space under the push of the Internet of things. The Embedded Openwrt Smart Home Security System is mainly based on Linux as the core of control system. And it’s based on the concept of home security intelligence, it’s necessary to provide each family member with a safe, comfortable and convenient living environment, and it achieves real-time security monitoring, video data transmission and conversion, data analysis and processing and so on, so that it provides the necessary guarantee anytime and anywhere for the safety of household environment.Based on the analysis of the status quo at home and abroad, and development trend of smart home system, this paper proposes a smart home security system design based on OpenWRT. The design research of family intelligent security system, make full use of the present family life indispensable router. Router uses the OpenWRT as the kernel of the embedded system, as a center platform, receiving and processing the peripheral single-chip microcomputer control circuit transmission of information. The user can through phone or tablet to install the Android client software to interact with the system. This makes the system has video monitoring, sensors, monitoring, remote information transmission and intelligent alarm function. The article studied the key technology of intelligent home security, including an introduction to the related of OpenWRT, brush OpenWRT router system, a brief introduction to the MJPG-streamer and intelligent security system is introduced. On the system overall scheme design and demand analysis, the system can be roughly divided into three parts to implementation:the realization of the design of the router, the implementation of the peripheral circuit design and the realization of the Android client design. At first,finishing the router design, putting forward the system design scheme of the router, the router hardware and software architecture and transplanting MJPG-the streamer to the router. Second,related to the design of peripheral circuit, including its hardware structure, the design of wireless communication module. The last is the Android client design.The innovation of the paper lies in:1ã€The design of a remote security monitoring system, focusing on research for mass home security systems, has many characteristics, such as cheap, convenient installation and easy popularization.2ã€The design the open nature of OpenWRT system, has the scalability and high intelligent, wide range application and powerful functions. Most of the brands on the market of the router, mostly can flash OpenWRT operating system, which greatly reduces the cost of the implementation of this system.3ã€Visualization of information service interface, can provide the information service through the Android terminal.4ã€The design of variable frequency wireless transmission system, make full use of existing current household wiring to realize the wireless signal extension.
