With the continuous development of economy, the high grade highway construction is also increasing. As the increasing of traffic volume and vehicle loading, the durability of the asphalt pavement and rutting resistance reduced, though construction of road maintenance cost increases year by year. So how to improve the quality of the asphalt road and increase the service life of the asphalt pavement, becomes a critical role in research. This paper studies the sisal fiber large size asphalt concrete pavement performance, and the sisal fiber as a new type of added material, which is added to the large size asphalt concrete.In this paper, the main research direction is that sisal fiber affects the performance of large size asphalt concrete road after it mixed.,the mainly research LASM-25 asphalt concrete. First, the raw materials were tested on the basis of this study in the large size of sisal fiber graded asphalt mixture design which draws on Bailey method gradation design concept, the "reserve porosity" applied to the design of grading.Second, in the determination of the optimum proportion of asphalt, were selected the five kinds of large size mix asphalt. By adding different lengths and adding different amounts of sisal fiber, Whetstone ultimately determines the best ratio of 4.2%, sisal fiber into large size asphalt which is best to add the length of 7mm; optimal dosage 0.3%.Through experimental study adds to the large size of sisal fiber asphalt mixture, high temperature stability increased 9%; low temperature splitting resistance increase 6.26%; water stability increased 8.1%. These findings suggest that pavement performance was enhanced as sisal fiber which was incorporated into large-stone asphalt concrete.Sisal fiber is the green environmental-protective product, so it is consistent with the current prevalent idea. In addition,the sisal fiber is abundantly available, as it is growed wide areas in southern China. If it can be popularized and used, the road performance has a certain degree of improvement and creates a better social value.
