Asphalt concrete pavement of the road has been widely used because of its good performance, especially as high-grade pavement layers. However, due to the influence of various factors, the phenomenon of early diseases will be the occurrenced in asphalt concrete pavement. Common diseases in the forms of cracking, rutting and potholes, etc. The normal function of the asphalt pavement will be serious impacted .Therefore, actively measures should be adopt to improve the road performance of asphalt concrete. A commonly used method to add fiber. This paper presents sisal fiber as a new road fiber, has a good practical significance.From the domestic and international research on fiber asphalt concrete , the fiber can improve the performance of asphalt concrete pavement. Fiber formation mechanism of the strength of asphalt concrete can be divided into fiber adsorption, crack resistance, and toughness of reinforced. And the nature of asphalt concrete will affect the fiber enhancement.Asphalt concrete as a typical viscoelastic material, has significant relaxation and creep properties, meet the time-temperature equivalent principle. In this paper, the viscoelastic parameters can be gotten by creep test, through the data processing method. With the help of the ABAQUS finite element software, the form of Prony series are used to characterize the viscoelastic characterization of asphalt concrete.The conventional asphalt concrete pavement structure and sisal fiber asphalt road are used to simulate concrete pavement performance by ABAQUS software. The fatigue cracking of asphalt pavement under moving load, the fatigue crack at low temperatures and high temperature deformation are calculated. From the results, the incorporation of sisal fibers to the asphalt concrete, pavement performance can be increased of the different ranges.The enhancement effects of sisal fiber are detected by pavement performance test. Conventional Marshall Test, Marshall Residue test, split test and freeze-thaw test, high temperature stability test are respectively used on the ordinary asphalt concrete and sisal fiber. The water stability of asphalt concrete, cold crack resistance and high temperature stability are analyzed to verify the Sisal fiber of asphalt concrete pavement performance results have certain improvements.Therefore sisal fiber can enhance the effect of asphalt concrete pavement, and because of its low cost, green, wide variety of sources, has some promotional value.
