Now the construction industry has entered a new stage with both the reinforcement and new construction. Structural reinforcement has become a new direction for the construction industry, while rocking wall reinforcement is a new method of structural reinforcement. Rocking wall is a special structure. The bottom of the wall have a certain structure to rotate capability and the wall can provide greater lateral stiffness, which can effectively control the structure under seismic lateral deformation modes.This article is aimed at an engineering example. The original two-story frame structure, due to the requirements of the owners, is required for the expansion of the original four-story structure framework. In the project to do the project appraisal found that the size of the original structure of the component, concrete strength and construction are in line with the requirements of the original structural drawings, but after calculation and analysis, inadequate bearing capacity of the frame structure after expansion, can not meet the specifications. The contents of this article is a model for the calculation of four-story frame structure, first and second floor of the original structure, three, four for the expansion of the structure, in order to reinforce the structure of the whole.The third chapter tells the original structure with steel reinforcement method support.After structural reinforcement can basically meet the regulatory requirements, but weak layer structure became the second layer structure, a layer yield failure mechanism.The fourth chapter tells the original structure with rocking wall reinforcement method.After the reinforcement structure can meet regulatory requirements, and the whole structure was overall yield mechanism,also can greatly improve the seismic capacity of the structure.In the fifth chapter is about the original structure, steel support reinforcement and rocking wall reinforcement together were analyzed.Finally concluded that rocking wall reinforcement is superior to the steel support reinforcement,and can significantly improve the use efficiency of the components and structure of the whole seismic ability.
