Electric power communication network is to ensure the safety of power grid system, stable and efficient operation of the important basic platform, with the development of communication technology, IP data service transmission of application in the electric power communication system is more and more widely, larger particles of IP data transmission has become the development trend of electric power communication data transmission. In this case, the original MSTP/SDH communication network IP lack of technical weakness IP development trend, it is difficult to adapt to business of PTN technology began to be we consider object.PTN technology is a connection-oriented TCP/IP data transmission technology, it has inherited good technology of SDH transmission of good quality, high efficiency, the advantages of convenient management, and also an effective statistical multiplexing, survival ability and more business transfer, such as differentiated QoS technology advantage. This article expounds the theory of SDH and PTN technology, compares the two kinds of technical characteristics, their application in the electric power communication transmission network, jimo electric power communication transmission network optimization design scheme is put forward, finally the combination of PTN transmission network and SDH transmission network characteristics, transmission network development in the future was prospected.Taking Jimo electric power communication transmission network as the research object,the main content of this paper is, first of all, to careful analysis of the current cieme economic development demand and development trend of power grid in the future; Second for Jimo current electric power communication transmission network technology on the basis of detail, to put forward the current problems of Jimo electric power communication transmission network; Again for new PTN technology was studied, established Jimo electric power communication network optimization design, and according to the plan for Jimo PTN transmission network engineering construction practice; Finally, the electric power communication transmission network development is discussed in the next five years.
