A new mechatronical technology, LabVIEW and the serial communication technology of VISA is applied to study on the fuse box of automobile. A deep research is taken on the fuse box of automobile from several aspects. Such as selection and optimization of electronic loads module, setting up the control loop and test system, the selection of the serial-communication electrical equipment, the design of automatic test system, and the programming of the software program and so on. Main results are as follows:The aging test type that the fuse box of automobile applied to industry scene is analyzed in detail under deep studying of the theory of virtual instruments software architecture. And the type of programmable micro-control-unit electronic loads module is selected finally as the suitable type to discuss in this paper. Then the communications architecture is optimized and its application architecture is simplified.After analysis of the application architecture, the program structure that applicable to the aging test is obtained, and its operating mode is determined using the experiment method.According to the selected software architecture, an operating system is designed based on LabVIEW. And the system-hardware-structure design of the fuse box of automobile’s testing module is done. To realized the function of saving date by using the method of technical data management streaming of LabVIEW. The storing of mess data is carried out by using the function of Technical Data Management Streaming (TDMS) file of LabVIEW.The multi-loop aging test is finally selected as the control method of the control program after comparing various programming style under deep studying on the simulated load theory and methods. On this basis, the method of a fixed current running through the simulated load at a given time instead of single sequence adapted to optimize the traditional method, which can improve the efficiency of the constant voltage power supply obviously and shorten the testing cycle effectively.The design of the software program is implemented after several step below: Configurating and optimizing the new type design of hardware system, legitimately build up LabVIEW project and configurate the parameters; Useing the state machine structure and the meticulous human-computer interface to establish the control program.The time interval, the current size, and the data fusion to subdivided into groups of the time diagram of the current is analyzed using graphic function of LabVIEW to verified the correctness of the designed program on the aging test platform. The proofreading of all the time sequence and the analysis of the current’s diagram has been done, of which analytical results have been used to estimate parameters of the operational performance standards.This paper has certain referential significance in the research of the aging-test method using the simulation load and the design of the electronic-loads module products.
