Energy, as the material basis for the human beings to survive on, is consumed largely with the development and progress of society, and the world is faced with the problem of energy crisis. Therefore, how to use energy efficiently and find a new kind of energy becomes one of the new topics of academic research. Based on the PIC16C744 microcontroller, the research and development of intelligent solar LED street lamp controller is discussed in this paper. First of all, the related theory of the solar street lamp lighting system is studied, based on which the overall scheme is designed. And the hardware of the charging and discharging circuit, the constant current driving circuit and the intelligent control circuit are further analyzed and designed. The system software is designed according to the MPPT charging strategy and controlling function. Finally, the software and hardware is connected.In the charging circuit, the problem of maximum power point tracking of solar battery is analyzed, and lead-acid battery charging strategy is optimized. Based on the theory, the Cúk charging circuit and the controlling software are designed, and the MPPT high current charging, constant voltage charging, charging combination of three segment of the charging method are realized, which effectively improves the charging efficiency, and prolongs the service life of the battery. In the discharge circuit, in order to achieve the precise controlling of current and amplify the performance of the LED, the discharge strategy system is designed,and a constant current driving circuit is developed based on Buck model. By means of the micro controller and control software, the intelligent dimming function is realized according to the brightness of the external environment, system temperature and the time. In order to improve the security of the system, effectively prevent lightning, short circuit, and reverse polarity and overload from occurring, the protection circuit is also designed in the system.Having been tested, the system can meet the design requirements, with high reliability,good stability, intelligence and other characteristics to achieve a good effect in practice.
