Study On The Protection And Transformation Pattern Of Li House In Qingdao

As a special architectural form, Qingdao Li House inherits the unique connotation of “Li House culture” and importantly represents the regional characteristic of Qingdao City. The value of Li House didn’t get enough attention however, and therefore, the study on its protection and reconstruction lacks. During the process of urban modernization, the damage to Li House is extensive, based on which, research of protection and reconstruction should be established to contribute to its sustainable development and to urban historic feature of Qingdao City.Before writing this thesis, I have done a ton of related research whatever domestic and overseas, and analyzed and summarized lots of cases, providing theoretical references to this paper.With field research, measured survey and questionnaire report having been done, materials of Li House’s present condition are collated in the article. The thesis, combined with successful research achievements and cases, raising the principle of the protection and renovation on Li House as well as the protection and reconstruction mode which is based on the architectural current situation. Then, analyzes the applicability of this mode and puts forward corresponding technology countermeasures.The last step is the analysis on No. 8 block, which is circled by Beijing Road,Zhongshan Road,Baoding Road and Hebei Road. The block is designed in term of preservation and renovation, and protection and reconstruction of Li House in this block take reasonable mode. For this account, expecting Li House may refresh its vitality and vigor by choosing appropriate protection and reconstruction mode.
