Nowadays,the society and the economy are in a state of rapid development,and the construction of cities and villages is moving forward steadily.Many places are experiencing or have experienced a large demolition and construction period,people are often confused by the immediate economic benefits,choose to sacrifice traditional and with rich historical buildings.These historical buildings are important part of the rich cultural heritage of China,bearing the most true and rich historical information.A large number of historical buildings have disappeared,and more and more thousands of cities have emerged,making more and more people talking about the protection of historical buildings.More and more thousands of cities on the one side of the situation is the result of this phenomenon,fortunately someone in time to discover the problem and stood up in time.In the field of architecture,it is shown by the importance of historical architecture and traditional architecture,more and more scholars join in this research,and the government has issued laws and regulations to protect this kind of buildings.However,at the present stage of protection work in China,there are still many shortcomings.In the situation where the protection of historical buildings and the development of social economy seem to conflict,they often take the sacrifice of historical buildings as the cost.This has led to the neglect of historical buildings or demolition of the phenomenon is very serious.By contrast,the United States has a great deal of successful experience in the conservation of its historical buildings.Hundreds of years after the founding of the United States,it has gradually established and formed its own political and economic system to adapt to the historical building protection mode.The connotation of historical building protection has been expanded constantly,and the main body of protection has been established by the governments at all levels,non-governmental organizations and individuals to participate in and close contact with the protection system from individuals and private organizations at the beginning,then came to the government intervention.The subject of this study—Louisiana is located in the southern part of the United States.It is the upper reaches of the mother river Mississippi in the United States.It breeds the unique South American culture and its architecture is also regarded as the origin of American architectural style.Therefore,the architecture of Louisiana has an indispensable position in the United States,and the protection of itshistoric buildings also has its own unique features.This paper first studies the overall protection mode of American historical buildings,combs and summarizes the development course,probes into the internal relation of representative events of each period,and analyzes the main body,principles and concrete ways of protection,and so on.The formation of a clear and coherent framework provides a further in-depth basis for subsequent research.Then,taking the Louisiana State where author was visited as an example,studying the conservation of historic houses in Louisiana,and analyzes the successful experience and practical process of historical building conservation in the United States.The relevant protection measures,representatives and organizations of the state of the contents of the focus on the elaboration.Finally,it summarizes the successful experience of American historical houses protection,and then combines with our country own situation,and puts forward three aspects of non-governmental organizations,legal system and organizational institutions to provide useful lessons and inspirations.The research on the protection of historical buildings is of great help to the construction of the national sense of belonging,the stimulation of patriotic enthusiasm and the enhancement of national pride.In architecture,the continuation of the historical style of Chinese architecture,inheritance of traditions and other aspects of far-reaching historical significance and great practical significance.
