Train traction calculation is based on mechanics, scientific experiments and advanced manipulation experience, analyzing various practical problems in the course of train operation. And it is used to solve some technical and technical economic problems in operation and design. For the simulation of the train power supply system, the main purpose of the traction calculation is to master the electric load process in the train running. Combined the actual situation of external power grid and the traction calculation results, through power flow calculation, the paper can get the network voltage changes and the feeder current variation, which can be guidance for train control optimization.This paper, "Research and development of the traction calculation simulation system for the rail train", is the subproject of "Research and development of the traction substation operation simulation system", and is also the follow-up project of "Research on modeling and computer simulation of traction power supply system’s load process",providing effective traffic data, namely train electrical load characteristic. Then, it can realize the effective combination of the train traction calculation module and the load process simulation module of traction power supply system.Through the analysis of the demand on the system in detail, according to the overall structure of the traction calculation process, this article designed three modules in detail, including the system for data management, the traction calculation of the system and the human-computer interaction functions. Based on Visual C++6.0 programming language, the paper achieved the following functions, including the MFC framework programming to complete the design of the interface, the operation of ADO technology to achieve the unified management of the basic data in the access database, using graphics technology to realize the output of the simulation results and the curve plotting function.Based on the theory of train traction calculation and analysis of operation conditions on the impact of the train operation, according to the purpose of traction calculation, the system adopts the speed control strategy of train running speed closing to the target limit speed. Under the given train working condition, the paper studies the automatic calculation method of the train control variables. It makes the automatic calculation control process by dynamic grouping based on speed control strategy. It compiles procedures to realize the automatic calculation function. Finally,through the simulation of Jinma village section of Kunming railway administration,the system can calculate the running speed, the train power and current.By the analysis of the calculation results, the correctness and effectiveness of the system can be demonstrated. Combined with the traction power supply system’s load process simulation program, this paper made a simple introduction of data interface.
