Train traction calculation is the scientific calculation in rail transport, which studies on the train's operation alone the rail and other related issues which are impacted by external force (including locomotive traction, train resistance and train braking force). It is based on mechanics, scientific experiments and advanced manipulation experience, analysis various phenomena and principle in the course of train operation and it is used to solve some technical and technical economic problems in operation and design.some of the current train traction calculation software based on Single-particle Model, with a certain degree of automatic calculation function, but with the limitations of single-particle model, resulting in low accuracy and can not be better to meet customer needs. And the others based on the multi-particle calculation model trains, calculation precision can be met, but it can be only done by manual simulated train driver operating and spent a lot of manpower and time. Exploiting a new train traction calculation software which possesses automatically calculating function and gets a high accuracy results can greatly reduce the labor intensity of the work, improve the work efficiency, greatly improve the application level of traction calculation technology, provide a good calculation tool for the relevant departments.It has very broad application prospects and good practical significance.In the acticle, the train traction calculation was regarded as a methodology for solving multi-dimensional issue according with the point of systemic view. This acticle makes detailed needs analysis for the system, basing on the traction calculation software requirement analysis. and the software is divided into three modules:data management, traction calculation and interface. And the article designed a train traction automatic calculation algorithm, using an improved single-particle calculation model train, according to train mechanical analysis, the train traction calculation theory, and the equations of train motion and a variety of constraints; Then using the theory of relational database to design and create the system-related databases; And according to the system interface design principles, designed an friendly interface. Finally this acticle uses Visual C++as exploiting tool, and realizes the train traction calculation software which possesses automatically calculating function and gets a high accuracy results, and have good database management, friendly interface.
