With the development of the social economy and the improvement of the people’s living standard,people’s travel demand continues to grow,while the competition among the various transportation modes has been increasingly intense.As a new kind of transport mode,high speed railway not only inherits the characteristics of existing railway of large capacity and high security,but also povide high level of service such as high speed and high departure frequency.Obviously,the introduction of high speed railway will have great impact on passengers’travel choice behavior.In this paper,we take the several surveys data collected in different periods before and after the opening of the high-speed rail as foundation,research on the change of passenger travel choice behavior,while the results could provide the basis for the optimization of the operation plan, the designation of the ticket price and the marketing of the transportation products.Firstly,the development of passenger transport market in our country is introduced,and we made an theoretical analysis on passengers’travel choice behavior based on passengers’travel demand and travel psychology.Whether there is a personal experience has great impact on passenger’s cognitive and psychology,and then passenger’s travel choice behavior will be influented.Through the above analysis.we summarizes the influencing factors of travel choice behavior from the macro and micro aspects.Secondly,on the basis of the above theoretical analysis,we compared the characteristics of passenger’s travel choice behavior by analyzing the data of three surveys in different periods before and after the opening of high-speed railway,while Beijing-Shanghai corridor was taken as example.The result shows that passengers who chose high-speed railway mainly by public expense or for official business. As time gose on,high-speed rail has been universally accepted and become one of the main ways for people to intercity travel.The opening of the high-speed rail has a significant impact on the transportation market structure,and the acceptance of passengers for their high fares was significantly higher than expected before the opening.By the way, high-speed railway with travel time within 6 hours has a strong competitive.Finally,in this paper,we establishe the disaggregate models of passenger travel mode choice behavior before and after the opening of high-speed railway respectly,So as to do the quantitative analysis of the influence factors.Before the high-speed railway opening, the most important factor is the source of fares and charges while passengers consider Whether to choose high-speed rail.As time goes on,travel time and travel distance become the most important influence factor, and then it’s the source of the fee and the price of the ticket.It’s obviously that the concept of passenger travel has changed after the opening of high-speed railway and higher requirements are put forward for travel efficiency.
