With the development of solar photovoltaic power generation technology research and the development of photovoltaic applications, Building integrated photovoltaic(BIPV) in the world is becoming more and more extensive. BIPV has brought a series of new requirements, but the design of current PV architecture does not do the integration result in the lack of support for new needs.This paper starting from the BIPV design, through in-depth study of photovoltaic power systems and building integration, established the BIM based containing photovoltaic power generation system of building electrical and photovoltaic radiation considered shadow model, according this developed a platform for building integrated photovoltaic aided design based on BIM, in order to achieve the cooperative design of photovoltaic power generation system and architecture.Firstly, this paper makes a deep research on the integrated design of the photovoltaic building, and concludes the PV system’s composition, the principles and processes of the integrated design of the photovoltaic buildings. Photovoltaic power generation system convert solar energy into electrical energy. It mainly consists of the following four parts: photovoltaic cell array, battery, DC / AC inverter, controller, etc. Photovoltaic and building integration have two form, one is the photovoltaic module attached to the building surface, the other one is photovoltaic components integrated building materials. Photovoltaic equipment both have power generation and building materials function. The whole life cycle of photovoltaic buildings is different from that of conventional buildings. In the early stage of photovoltaic building project, the PV system should be considered as an important element of building.Building integrated photovoltaic brings new demand and lack of appropriate computational aided design software support, the design process of building and photovoltaic system usually separated, which can not do true integration of design. So this paper designed a platform to support BIPV appearance, irradiance and electrical design based on BIM.Secondly, this paper established a model of building electrical analysis with photovoltaic system. In order to improve the maturity and efficiency of the software, this paper improved the existing power calculation toolbox which called matpower, that can be applied to building electrical calculation with photovoltaic power system. It was constructed a mathematical model of gain electrical data from BIM based building automatically. Paper studied the power flow calculation, short circuit calculation, the optimization of the access position of the inverter and the power loss of circuit in DC system.Thirdly, this paper established the model of shadow and radiation analysis for photovoltaic power generation equipment based on BIM. In model, the sun motion model should be first established, and gain the sun position at any time. Then divide the PV panels surface into small block, use ray method to do shadow analysis. The so-called ray method is based on a point and a vector to construct a ray, determine whether the existence of objects on the ray path. The solar radiation analysis model of photovoltaic power generation equipment in BIM is established. Calculate solar radiation by the time, shadow factor would be considered. It provides a powerful data support for the scientific and integrated design of photovoltaic system.Finally, according to the design and analysis of photovoltaic building integrated design and analysis, combined with the domestic and foreign related technology research and laboratory research results, the design of the BIM based integrated photovoltaic building design platform. The platform uses Revit architecture design software to carry out the two development, and realize the co design of photovoltaic and building. In order to verify the correctness and feasibility of the platform, the platform in Jiaxing Qinfeng substation application. Through the optimization analysis, saving photovoltaic equipment investment of nearly 14%, link transmission loss 2.96%. The development of the software platform fulfills the gaps in the BIPV field provides a powerful computer aided design platform. It can significantly reduce the complexity in the BIPV design and increase the design efficiency and effectiveness.
