In recent years, with the rapid development of motorization, large hospital widespread parking, traffic congestion, queue entry and other issues, it not only affected population for medical care, also affected the normal life of the people and limited the sustainable development of the hospital. Therefore, on the premise of ensuring the normal operation of the hospital, it is urgent to solve the problem of traffic organization to optimize the hospital’s medical environment. To solve the problem of the hospital traffic organization, this paper proposed the optimization scheme respectively from the traffic organization optimization of hospital entrance and internal area, by using the knowledge of traffic engineering and the method based on VISSIM simulation analysis.First, the hospital district traffic is analyzed, including the system structure and traffic characteristics of the hospital. The concept of the large hospital is defined, the characteristics of the hospital traffic are studied, and the characteristics of the hospital traffic are analyzed for traffic organization optimization foundation.Secondly, in order to provide theoretical support for the hospital traffic organization optimization and simulation evaluation, the basic method of hospital traffic organization optimization is proposed, the characteristics of VISSIM simulation function are analyzed and further gives the selected evaluation index based on the principles of traffic organization and optimization method with a diagnosis of traffic organization problem and the case analysis.Then, four schemes are made for the traffic organization optimization of hospital entrance. Through the analysis of the case hospital traffic arriving distribution, the paper studied hospital queue length model and used VISSIM VAP programming module to prove the effectiveness of the model that provide quantitative analysis for the traffic organization optimization of hospital entrance.Finally, three optimization schemes are put forward for the hospital internal area, and the relationship between the program evaluation index and the VISSIM evaluation index is studied. Through the analysis of the current situation of traffic flow and traffic problems in the case, the paper verified the feasibility of the proposed scheme by using the proposed traffic organization scheme and the evaluation of VISSIM.
