In recent years, the traditional fossil energy around the world is increasingly exhausting while the global economy demand for electricity. Therefore, distributed generation technology which based on renewable energy such as wind energy and solar energy is becoming a research hotspot at home and abroad. Distributed generations connect to the grid in the form of micro-grid on a large scale, and naturally converters widely exist in physical system of distributed generation as the key energy converting device. On the other hand, in order to promote the network information and intelligence, the intelligent electronic devieces compliant with the IEC 61850 standard are widely used in the distributed generation which constitute the distributed generation information system to accomplish the information interaction between devices. But the production environment, such as deserts and offshore, of distributed generation system is usually very harsh. Devices in the distributed generation may fail, which may cause in paralysis of the physical system or information system and thereby lead to economic losses and resources waste resulted from relevant power accident. To solve this problem, this paper propose a method called dynamic reconfiguration of distributed generation system. We achieve the dynamic reconfiguration of entire system from the perspective of infromation system and physical system, and the reconfiguried system will continue to operate healthly which can improve the safety and reliability of the distributed generation.In order to realize the dynamic reconfiguration of the distributed generation, the IEC 61850 standard, plug and play technology and multi-agent technology are studied in this paper. IEC 61850 standard adopts object-oriented information modeling method and flexible communication structure, because of which the IEDs propose a good self-description capabilities so that they can meet the demand the interoperability requirements of equipments. The plug and play technology based on UPnP protocal can manage and control devices online, using which we can achieve the switch bewteen the healty stand-by device and the failed device. Multi-agent teconology, which is capable of solving complex problems distributedly, can finely adapt to the changes in the network structure of distributed generation system.IEC 61850 standard defines the universal information model of the relevant devices or function for control, protection and measuring, and also defines the hierarchical communication network architecture of power system. The information system of distributed generation based on this standard is the basis of intelligence of the distributed generation. However, devices in the information system may fail which will result in function losses of the system. To solve this problem, this paper studied the dynamic reconfiguration method and procedure for the IEDs, using the dynamic reconfiguration of IEDs as a study case, which provides a development direction for the dynamic reconfiguration of the information system.If any physical equipment such as converter in the distributed generation system fails and cannot recover, which not only lead to a power failure, but also can result in huge maintenance costs. To solve this problem, this paper studied the dynamic reconfiguration of converter, using the reconfigurable inveter as a study case, which lays a research foundation for the dynamic reconfiguration of the physical system.
