Landscape Planning Of The Sihong-Sui River Scenic Belt

Urban waterfront space is the main resource of urban development and an important part of urban public space, is a displaying platform of city’s ecological culture and regional characteristics. Regional characters waterfront space, is a show window of urban culture and a necessary requirement of strengthening the waterfront landscape.On the whole, this study is divided into two parts. The first part, expatiates the background and relating theory of urban waterfront space. The second part, take Sihong--Sui river scenic belt as a case to do the practical research. In the first section, the urban waterfront space design relevant theories, including ecological restoration theory, sponge city theory, biodiversity theory are preliminary studied, and the relates cases of the landscape construction of waterfront characteristics at home and abroad are summarized. In the second part’s practical research, base on thorough understanding the basic situation of Sihong-Sui river scenic belt, comprehensive use the methods of literature research method, investigating method, software assistant method and so on, mining Sihong--Sui river regional characteristics elements from different angles. In the design process, regarding regional design of waterfront landscape as a guiding principle. Taking full play to the ecological benefits, keep city features, protect the species multiplicity as the designing principles. By using local native plants, restore cultural events and extract the local cultural symbols as a way of pavement, landscape sketch elements, protection of regional features; By restoring the river natural revetment, retained in the water environment and create more space environment, to restore the biology diversity. Guiding by the theory of ecological restoration theory, biodiversity theory, sponge city theory, exercise prescription theory, Shape Sihong--Sui river as a rich variety, continuous waterfront public space, guarantee the waterfront areas common sharing. And then, stimulate the city vitality, perfecting the city functions. The achievements of the design, intending to create a unique local characteristic, sustainable development, dominated by city life function, attention on waterfront touring activities’Sui river ecology link, building a strong openness and diversity of waterfront public space to local citizens.
