The subway because of its low energy consumption, large volume, does not occupy the ground space advantage, is the construction of China’s big city like a raging fire and implementation, become extremely important basic facilities supporting the city. In addition to metro transport itself, close subway station and the site area of city space and coordinated development is extremely important. Subway station bearing the huge flow of people, through to the attraction of people and distributed to become a regional nodes, on the periphery of urban space of radiation and promotion, to point to an area to a positive role in promoting the development of the entire city. In order to make the research more targeted and focused, this study will be gathered in the subway station and the city’s "connection space", namely the site surrounding areas of the city space.This paper firstly discussed the research background, and then the related theories on the relationship between TOD and the theory of environmental behavior, the image of the city and other domestic rail transit and city space are summarized. The above content for this paper for Chengdu metro station and urban "connections between space research provides the reference of related research methods, on the other hand is for the second part related to specific optimization strategy is proposed to provide the corresponding support.After the related theory to elaborate, the Chengdu urban spatial characteristics and metro development like were introduced, and the selection of Metro Line 1 and Line No.2 as the concrete research object. Each subway station in the city location and spatial characteristics are different, so we can not generalize. Classification research is very necessary, according to the use function of the land surrounding the site, Chengdu subway stations were identified as business center type, living type, the hub of three categories, so that the ensuing chapters launch in-depth investigations and studies.The classification of three types of sites, this study selces 20 typical sites including the in-depth investigation and research. The research includes tive aspects of spatial structure, traffic system, architectural style, landscape logo, human behavior. Recording and analysis of the status quo of the observed and summed up the Chengdu city site with different types of connection space problems.Finally, above the "space" of the status quo of Chengdu subway station and urban connection induction and analysis, combined with domestic and foreign outstanding cases and related theories, this paper presents the "space" of the optimization principle and target, and the different types of sites and urban "connection space optimization strategy one by one to explore, trying to provide a useful reference to the future design of Chengdu Metro site area of subway station and urban connection.
