Research On Passenger Train Operation Plan Of Chengdu-Pujiang Railway

Operation plan of passenger train which determines the departure stations, the railway sections en route, the numbers of different category trains and their stopping stations is the basis of the train schedule and motor train unit. The quality of the passenger train operation plan has a direct influence on the quality of the train schedule, on the passenger carrying capacity to satisfy the need of the passengers and on realizing the maximum benefit. The Chengdu-Pujiang Railway is the important part of Chengdu’s public transport system, the research on its passenger train operation plan has important significance to optimize traffic structure of passengers and decrease traffic congestion.Firstly, the paper introduces the present traffic status of Chengdu city and the general situation of Chengdu-Pujiang Railway. Then, the infulence of Chengdu-Pujiang Railway on the traffic and social economy of Chengdu is analyzedcombining relevant investigation data.Secondly, the passenger flow structure and characterisics of Chengdu-Pujiang Railway are analyzed in detail. The results of passenger flow analysis can provide basis for the determination of passenger train operation plan.Finally, on the basis of discussing the influence factors and make-out method of passenger train operation plan, and combinint the charateristics of Chengdu-Pujiang Railway, the optimization model is established taking the minimum operation cost of railway enterprise and minimum passenger loss as objectives. According to the character of the model, the ideal point method is adopted to solve it. The operation plan of passenger trains on the railway is determined by using the proposed method, which can provide reference for its transportation organization.Generally speaking, in order to realizing the aims that the numbers and categories of passenger trains matching with the passenger flows and the operation effectiveness maximum, this paper forecasts the passenger flows of Chengdu-Pujiang Railway with scientific methods. And the prediction results as well as multi-objective optimization model are used to realize the formation and optimization of the railway passenger train plan. So it could provide sufficient data for the transportation strategy makers.
