By the end of 2015, high-speed railway revenue kilometers in China has reached 19000 kilometers, higher and higher requirement of train operation safety is put forward because of the rapid development of the railway. To prevent the train from the dangers of natural disasters and foreign object invasion events along the high-speed railway, the high-speed railway natural disasters and foreign object invasion monitoring system is constructed along with the high-speed railway, linked to the train control system. As a sub system of it, high-speed railway foreign object invasion monitoring system, called foreign invasion object monitoring system for short, plays an important role. System failure, false positives will endanger the safety of passengers and trains, also influence the efficiency of railway, so how to analyze and improve the reliability of system becomes a problem to be solved.Based on the research of fault condition of foreign invasion object monitoring system, the paper analysis the failure data, uses methods of FMECA and FTA for reliability analysis, and put forward some methods to improve the reliability of foreign body object invasion monitoring system. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows.(1) research fault condition of the system. Sort system fault and conclude system fault trend.(2) analysis the reliability of system using FMECA. Determine the system failure mode, failure cause and compensation measures, get system FMEA analysis table; Calculate the RPN value of potential failure, get system CA analysis table, provide the basis for system optimization maintenance.(3) analysis the reliability of system using FTA. Determine the system fault tree, the minimum cut set, get failure rate of the top event, reliability and MTBF, quantified the system reliability index.(4) put forward some methods for improving the reliability of the system. Such as shortening early failure period and maintenance time, extend the random failure period, etc.(5) design system reliability verification test scheme, verify its effectiveness and feasibility through the simulation.
