With the rapid development of China’s industrialization, the development of nuclear power have captured a great deal of attention. Currently, nuclear power bears basic load of power grid. With the expansion of access capacity about third-generation nuclear power unit, which has excellent technical indicators, nuclear power has gradually involved in the scheduling of power grid. However, due to the weak anti-interference of nuclear power unit, catastrophe of power grid might occur. As a result, it has great significance for making reasonable scheduling algorithm for transmission network containing nuclear power units. Focusing on the optimal scheduling algorithm for transmission network containing nuclear power units, research works in this thesis are as follows:Analyzing the operational characteristics of third-generation nuclear power unit. And based on it, a daily operation mode was established, which is suitable for the participation of nuclear power units in the scheduling of power grid. Starting with the interactions between third-generation nuclear power unit and power grid, and in order to ensure the normal operation of power grid in extreme situations, the security constraints of voltage and frequency were raised based on the method of conditional value at risk, which has considered the uncertainty of prediction error about grid load. With the minimum generating costs as the objective function, a two-stage optimal scheduling model was established, which is for transmission network containing nuclear power units.On the solution of scheduling model, aiming at the problem of low convergence precision of imperialist competitive algorithm when solving up-down and output plan for units synchronously, the two-step solving strategy was raised; aiming at the problem of low efficiency of imperialist competitive algorithm when solving large-scale data, pre-screening strategy was introduced to improve the algorithm for solving up-down plan; aiming at the problem of easy local convergence of imperialist competitive algorithm, the algorithm for solving output plan was improved by optimizing the assimilative direction vector and adjusting the power of units dynamically. With the construction of fitness function, an improved scheduling algorithm was raised, which is for transmission network containing nuclear power units.The example results of the IEEE-10 test data showed the correctness and effectiveness of the improved imperialist competitive algorithm. Finally a scheduling software system was designed and completed by utilizing Java web, which is for transmission network containing nuclear power units.
