Study On High-Speed Railway Express Freight Transportation Service Network Design

With the rapid development of our national economy, and the popularity of computer, web, communication technique and E-commerce, express freight transportation demand is increasing rapidly, and it requires a higher level of mode, speed and quality of freight transportation. Meanwhile, with the construction and improvement of high-speed railway network, and the reform of China railway freight transportation organization, it provides transport capacity and opportunity for the development of high-speed railway express freight transportation. Based on this background, this paper researched service network design of high-speed railway express freight transportation, in order to improve the railway logistics efficiency and service level. The main contents are the following sections:(1) High-speed railway express freight transportation system analysisIt analyzed the characteristics of express freight transportation through the classification of express freight, high-speed railway express freight transportation demand through express delivery business development of China in recent years, high-speed railway express freight transportation supply through the construction of high-speed railway network and the existing products of high-speed railway express freight transportation, and the price of the high-speed railway express freight transportation existing products and its comparison with air cargo and high-speed railway passenger transportation through rough calculation of its activity-based cost by certain assumptions.(2) High-speed railway express freight transportation service network designIt proposed four kinds of practical organizational model of high-speed railway express freight transportation through the analysis of typical organizational model of high-speed railway express freight transportation abroad and the current organization situation of high-speed railway express freight transportation, compared their suitability and discussed their design principles. Then it summarized the classification of transportation service network design models, and analyzed their characteristics.(3) High-speed railway express freight special train transportation service network design problemOn the basis of given a number of high-speed railway base stations and a number of high-speed railway routes, a single objective mixed integer linear programming model of high-speed railway express freight special train transportation service network was built to satisfying customers’ transportation demand and transportation route capacity constraints, and to ascertain a set of high-speed railway freight special train transportation services for minimum total operating cost under circumstances of different penalty cost of different customer levels. Then determining a reasonable set of transportation routes and solving the model by the decomposition algorithm, and giving an application example.(4) High-speed railway express freight wagon transportation service network design problemOn the basis of given a number of high-speed railway base stations, a number of high-speed railway routes, and a number of high-speed passenger trains on every route, a single objective mixed integer linear programming model of high-speed railway express freight wagon transportation service network was built to satisfying customers’ transportation demand and the constraint number of high-speed railway express freight wagons, and to ascertain a set of high-speed railway freight wagon transportation services for minimum total operating cost under circumstances of different penalty cost of different customer levels. Then solving the model by relaxation algorithm based on linear programming, and giving an application example.
