The Analysis And Evaluation Research Of Arterial Highway Traffic Safety

Transportation is an important part of the national economy and it plays an very important role on the point of promoting the development of social productive forces speeding up the flow of goods and personnel, improving people’s lives and consolidating national defense;In the comprehensive transportation system, highway transportation plays an important role;Highway transportation has the characteristic of flexiblity, wide adaptation range, and achieving a door to door transport,etc.Highway traffic volume has a high proportion of the total volume. As an important component of China’s highway network,arterial highway traffic hold the most in the whole volume.Arterial highway is an important part of the road network in China,and it plays a vital role in the national transportation economy.But the security situation of the arterial highway has been worrying for a long time and it is significant to study the traffic safety of the arterial highway.In this paper, the study of arterial highway traffic safety evaluation, aims to establish an effective evaluation index system of arterial highway traffic safety, the arterial highway traffic safety situation of objective, comprehensive and systematic analysis and evaluation, find problems in time, find out deficiency, take measures to prevent in advance, improve the safety of arterial highway traffic protect people’s life and property security, promoting the harmonious development of economy and society.In this paper, we make a comprehensive and systematic analysis on traffic safety impact factors and traffic accident features from the view of system construction on the bases of the status of traffic safety. By analyzing the traffic safety impact factors, such as people, vehicle,road, traffic environment, we find out the main factors of arterial highway traffic accident. We also create the evaluation index of arterial highway traffic, based on the principle of the evaluation establishment and method of evaluation selecting. Make quantitative evaluation processing and use analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the weight of each evaluation index.On the basis of comparing many kinds of evaluate method comprehensively, we create the arterial highway traffic safety evaluation model by the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.And carries on the comprehensive evaluation of arterial highway traffic safety situation. In the last part of the paper, by analysis of specific examples, we have proved that the arterial highway traffic evaluation system and evaluation model are of great applicability and feasibility.
