High Toughness Resin Concrete with Steel Mesh (HTRCS), developed by our research group, is a new composite material with such merits as high in strength, toughness as well as cohesive force, and, thus, able to applied to the field of structural reinforcement. So far, little work has been published on the research and use of HTRCS in China or foreign. This study investigates the reinforcement effects of HTRCS by testing its basic mechanical properties and HTRCS composite reinforcement prestressed concrete hollow slab beam of full-scale, and also provides experimental data for the future production and application in HTRCS. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:1. The basic mechanical properties test of HTRCS substrate include:compressive strength; tensile strength; tensile modulus of elasticity; compressive modulus of elasticity; the relationship among compressive strength, curing time and curing temperature; the relationship among the compressive elastic modulus, curing time and curing temperature; and the effects between HTRCS and bonding properties of concrete.2. Four point bending test of HTRCS composited thin sheets. The paper analysed the bending properties of HTRCS sheets and anti-cracking ability, and tested the failure mode difference of HTRCS sheets under different reinforcement ratio. The four point bending test is to determine the minimum reinforcement ratio reference value of the reinforcement material.3. The theoretical calculation for reinforcing the HTRCS reinforcement layer; the determination in the reinforcement layer of wire mesh boundaries reinforcement (maximum reinforcement ratio and the minimum reinforcement ratio); and the guidance of full-scale test and actual bridge reinforcement.4. The test of HTRCS prestressed concrete hollow slab beam strengthened; the analysis of reinforcement HTRCS prestressed concrete hollow slab beams during the loading process of deflection and strain data; the judgment under normal use condition and the state of cracking and ultimate load reinforcement effect; and observation and analysis in the failure mode of the strengthening beam.
