With the development of the civil aviation industry, constructions and expansions of airports were rising. Standard instrument flight procedure and obstacle clearance assessment were important to all runways. Due to flawed in traditional flight procedure design, the improvements on the efficiency and accuracy on the subject had become a crucial topic in the field of flight program design and evaluation.Based on the relevant rules of the ICAO, final approach segment of precision approach was selected to be analyzed with the trajectory design problems faced in the process, upon which route optimization method was proposed. First, this paper analyzed the design criteria and evaluation criteria, and clarified the key points located in the final approach segment. Secondly, after digitalizing the airport geographical information, the search space for trajectory of flight path was simulated. With respected to the multi-objective optimization theory, the researchers abstracted the data collected into multi-objective function with constraining and decisive variables, and determine the weight factors by using analytical hierarchy process. By researching on traditional optimization methods and intelligent optimization algorithm, a hybrid algorithm was suggested to infuses the selection mechanism of simulated annealing into the artificial bee colony algorithm in the optimization process and applies optimization test functions for simulation experiment. It showed that the algorithm (SABC)’s search capabilities and results had been greatly improved. Finally, through the analysis on the designed airport-related parameters and utilizing SABC algorithm to solve multi-objective model, the results obtained will be compared with the existing procedures and used for obstacle assessment. As a result, the optimized track can basically meet the OCA/H requirements. Besides, relative to the current program, the optimized track is more precise and in line with standards and regulations. This study can provide reasonable means to improve the operational efficiency of the airport and to provide a reference solution under the prerequisite of ensuring safety.
