With modern society’s urbanization advancement speeding up unceasingly, the size of city also have a further expansion at the same time, which is associated with the city’s traffic congestion problem and even paralysis. Based on this dilemma, underground rail transit project is seriously rise and the long-term development. Underground rail transit on urban traffic congestion can have a good relief. But the subway shield excavation construction is bound to cause some environmental geotechnical problems.It can also cause a great influence to the surrounding and adjacent buildings. Therefore, it is a important subject facing underground rail transit project that how to predict the the ground settlement and control it in the construction. Mainly has carried out the following work:(1) Summarizes and analyzes the subway shield causes the ground settlement research status and progress at home and abroad. This paper introduces the various prediction of ground settlement caused by shield construction method and through different strata’s impact on ground settlement.(2) This paper briefly introduces the shield driven and the theory of time and space effect of stratum movement. It also analyzes the the mechanism of soil disturbance of the shield driven.(3) This paper is set in Hefei rail transit line no.2. With the characteristics of different strata in Hefei area as the research key, based on the comprehensive actual field monitoring data, mainly studies the surrounding soil, the surface and the convergence for shield tunnel excavation through the reaction of different strata. This paper briefly introduces grouting parameters and driving parameters of shield driven construction through different strata. The research results can provide reference for the future line of shield driven project of Hefei city.(4) With Hefei formation representative three sections as the background, according to the actual engineering situation and soil parameters, construct the MIDAS/GTS numerical model. Through theoretical mechanical calculation analyze the deformation rule of the ground settlement. And the results of numerical simulation and the actual monitoring data are analyzed in comparison.
