Botanic Garden Design Based On Special Terrain And Local Climate Research

Botanic garden is a place that collects and cultivates a large number of plants and shows simulated natural environment, serving for scientific research, species conservation, popularization of science and resources development. The function of modern botanic gardens are more broad, including the popular science education and ecological tourism, etc. Located in the Three Gorges reservoir area of Chongqing, Yunyang Botanic Garden has special terrain and hydrological conditions. The design aims to use the terrain character and the wet climatic conditions of Chongqing area, creating abundant microclimate, and makes the botanic garden full of local characteristics. The design will also create fluent transportation system and popular science system at the same time, promoting the value of tourism, culture and science education of the botanic garden.
