Since the 21st century, Suzhou, Shenyang, Changchun, more than 10 cities in China have been gradually built tram lines or the construction plans have been officially released, which is expected in 2020 the country will have more than 20 lines mading of low-floor vehicles. However, the research and technical reserves in terms of low-floor vehicle is still at the preliminary stage. Especially,100% low floor bogie is in use of existing products abroad, which means bogie has not yet formed typical characteristics of China.Based the ALSTOM company’s Arpege 100% low floor bogie, the author proposes the construction scheme of 100% low-floor power bogie by using of independent wheel with lower bridge coupling. The scheme includes structure drawings of frame, elastic wheel, driving system with lateral coupling device, the secondary suspension systems. On the basis of analysis and calculation of the scheme, the author gives the dynamic parameters, to prepare for the follow-up work.For commonly used of elastic wheels for low floor vehicle bogie, the author proposes a low-floor elastic wheel model of 590mm diameters. Based Hirschfeld curves and relevant documents, the author preliminarily identifies the stiffness of elastic wheel, and gives the calculations of damping rubber block stiffness. The author uses the software of ABQUAS to complete the elastic wheel static strength check, verifing the reasonableness of the model.Based on the analysis and comparement in the installation condition and main structure of the low floor bogie secondary suspension, the author adopts the scheme of double coil spring. Paper gives the structure parameters, stiffness and stress analysis results of double coil spring and the rubber pad.Finally, the author completes stiffness calculation and stability analysis of the secondary suspension system.In order to restore the ability of independently rotating wheel guide, author adopts transmission shaft in the lower bridge to connect the wheels on both sides, which restores the traditional wheel function.In addition, traction motors are installed outside of the bogie, driving wheels of the same side to rotate by gear transmission. This scheme is called the lower bridge coupled bogie driving system.The author completes the transmission gear strength checking, transmission shaft dangerous section calculation and bearing life checking,which proves the reasonableness of the driving system and the lateral coupling scheme.
