The leakage problem in traffic tunnels is still very acute at the present time and the overall quality of the waterproof and drainage projects is not very satisfied yet in China. In resent years, the standards of environmental conditions in tunnels are continued enhanced according to the rise of numbers and lengths of newly constructed tunnels in China. Hence, it has been an urgent subject about how to deal with intense leakage status in tunnel engineering with a new style of waterproof technology. This dissertation has researched on the effectiveness system and its evaluation method of spray-applied acrylate waterproof membrane layer used in tunnel engineering based on the tunnel engineering background.The main research contents and achievements are shown as below:(1) The principal factors that influence the spray-applied acrylate waterproof membrane layer used in tunnel engineering has been in the full analysis, and the effectiveness index was studied out. Then effectiveness system was established based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process.(2) The effectiveness grade of the spray-applied acrylate waterproof membrane layer used in tunnel engineering was divided into four grades on the base of existing underground engineering waterproof grade.(3) The qualitative or quantitative judging criteria of the effectiveness index for the spray-applied acrylate waterproof membrane layer was proposed according to laboratory test combined with construction requirements.(4) The weight of effectiveness index was given based on the multiplication scale method.(5) Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Model for the spray-applied acrylate waterproof membrane layer used in tunnel engineering was founded in Fuzzy Mathematics.(6) Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Model achieved ideal results joining an engineering example.The thesis set up the evaluation system and evaluation method aims to promote the development of spray-applied waterproof membrane technology, guide the attention of single performance to the comprehensive evaluation of effectiveness for waterproof material in engineering field, provide guidance for the selection of waterproof material for designers, improve the quality of site construction. Thus it will make a definite contribution to reduce leakage status in tunnel engineering.
