With the development of technology, UAV was widely used in lots of research fields, and plays a significant role. In the application process, the flight data recorder and quick access to device of UAV record a large number of flight data, the data from many systems of UAV, contains a wealth of information. In recent years, research on UAV flight data continues to increase, such as: using flight data to investigate the accident flight and assess flight quality, but the research on UAV fault detection and maintenance is not much. Because the flight data reflect the working condition and performance of UAV systems, so comprehensive analysis flight data to detect abnormal data has great significant for providing the basis for the UAV system maintenance. This paper conducted a comprehensive analysis of flight data, using the results to assist UAV fault detection and improve work efficiency.The article firstly introduces the relevant knowledge of UAV fault diagnosis and expert system,laying the theoretical foundation for the overall design of the system. According to the requirements analysis and overall objectives of the system, the artice designs the overall structure of the system.The system consists of two parts, data decoding and data interprete. Data decoding is converting the data having different frame format of UAV systems into the value having engineering significance,then providing data base for the system. Data interprete is using expert systems to detecte abnormal data and provide scientific and effective basis for the UAV fault detection and maintenance.Through analyzing the flight data frame format protocol of various systems of UAV, the paper proposes dividing flight data into analog, digital and state quantity and determining decoding methods depending on the data type to finish data decoding. Design expert system for flight data interpretation.This paper presents a "framework + production" knowledge representation,non-automatic way to obtain interpretation knowledge, detailly design knowledge base of data interpretation expert system. Based on the reasoning process analysis, using rule-based forward chaining and useing Rete algorithm to interpret the rules of matching rules match, improving reasoning efficiency, and using expert system tool CLIPS to complete knowledge base and inference engine design..Through the research, this paper designs the comprehensive system of data analysis and data interpretation. After verifing, the method has a certain engineering value.
