| Nowadays, the view that "logistics is regarded as the third profit source" is accepted by more and more scholars, governments and enterprising administrators. In China, railway freight transport, the backbone of transportation, occupies the important position in national economy. The railroad history in other countries proves that developing modern logistics is an effective way of increasing profits and competitiveness. The international railway transportation companies started the progress to logistics business from 1970s and it has been proved very effective. Furthermore, modern logistics has been becoming a new point of our economic development and investment. As a critical link of logistics and transportation, the cost of loading and unloading accounts for a large share in the transportation chains. Therefore, it’s the weak link. Besides, cost of handling machines accounts nearly half of the total cost of loading and unloading. Then, the position of handling machines improves continuously in logistics. And reasonable selection and quantity optimization of handling machines become the key factors to decide the efficiency of logistics operation.There are many different kinds of cargo need to be transported by Kunming railway bureau. Among Kunming railway bureau, the handling operation conditions of cargo are not identical and the difference of the loading and unloading operation volume is very big. So the comparison and selection of handling machines configuration schemes are made and the best scheme will be decided. Against the background of Kunming railway bureau, the thesis will firstly analyze the loading and unloading operation actuality of its railway freight. And then problems in the configuration of the handling machines will be found out with combination of new demands which are presented by modern logistics on loading and unloading operation, and demand forecasts of loading and unloading operation. Secondly, handling machines configuration system and applications program, including configuration scenarios of typical stations and typical freights, will be constructed by using selection methods and quantity optimization methods of handling machines. Also, scientific measures to manage handling machines will be proposed. Finally, the informational and intelligent configuration scenarios of Kunming railway bureau will be proposed and the comprehensive analysis of the development of all the handling machines will be carried out, which includes six aspects:specialization, normalization, energy efficiency, maintenance and application, re-allocated and emergency dispose. |
