When the plane takes off from the earth or lands from the air, the soft shaft transmits the output torque and the speed of the control system of the trailing edge flap to the actuator of plane system. The soft shaft is equivalent to an actuator. The performance of the soft shaft directly determines the stability of aircraft flight system.The quality of the soft shaft is very different on the market at home and abroad. The same structure and size of the soft shaft is also different when they do the same life test.Due to the different processing technology, a good soft shaft can be recycled to one hundred thousand times, but a poor-quality can only be recycled to two thousand times.There are a lot of soft shaft parameters, such as: 1. the minimum bending radius; 2. the hysteresis angle; 3. the torsion angle; 4. the internal and external spline joint; 5. the static friction force, etc. How to measure these parameters, which is an important basis of choosing a good soft shaft.At present, the tests on the performance parameters of the soft shaft are most mechanical manual type or destructive testing on the market and Testing the parameters of the soft shaft are unitary and the error of the soft shaft is big. So designing a test system of the soft shaft has an important practical significance.The design of the test system mainly includes the moment of force loading system, the axial force loading system, the torsion angle detection system, the computer control system and the calibration system. The test-bed system of the soft shaft designs two states of the soft shaft assembly plant inspection through mechanical test bench : one is flat, the other one is bent. The torque loading system loads and adjust rotating torque of the soft shaft specimens and assist with the checking test of product; the axial force loading system is completed the specimens with axial load, the tightness of the specimens and provide an important condition to specimens; the torsion angle detection system check the torsion angle and hysteresis angle. Every system cooperate with each other to finish product test.The whole test system is controlled by computer and check the minimum bending radius,the hysteresis angle, the torsion angle, the internal and external spline joint 、 the static friction torque.This test system uses the computer, the MCGS, the PLC, the data acquisition card,motor, various sensors and other devices. According to the product specification, the test system maximize the use of computer detection technology to design a soft shaft test system of the computer as the core and reduce the cost of the research and development.
