With the shortage of energy and the implementation of national energy-saving and emission reduction policies, the development and utilization of renewable energy is an important way to reduce energy consume. It has become a common topic how to ensure a comfortable living environment and meet the requirements of energy-saving and emission reduction in the design of air conditioning. The air source heat pump technology is increasingly used in the construction and engineering as a kind of renewable energy technology, such as the use of air source heat pump technology for hot water and floor heating.First, the paper introduces the principle and application of air source heat pump technology. Then, the paper analyzes the application of air source heat pump technology in VRV multi-split air condition, living hot water, floor heating, and many other fields.Secondly, this paper introduces the comprehensive application analysis of multi functional VRV system. The so-called multifunctional VRV system is a technology that can combine floor heating circulating water system produced by air source heat pump, hot water system, and the existing air source VRV multiple central air-conditioning system. You can recycle waste heat to produce domestic hot water from the process of discharge in the outdoor machine in summer. You can choose VRV air conditioning heating or floor heating in winter. While achieving the requirement of all seasons for domestic hot water, we call it multifunctional air source VRV multi type air conditioning heat pump water heater. The paper introduces the function of VRV system in multi line, application of floor heating and hot water. And this paper analyzes advantages and disadvantages of the various heating modes from the initial investment, operating costs and the consumption of energy. It concludes that the floor heating mode of multifunctional VRV system is more economical than other heating mode. And it is a new type of heating technology that is worth popularizing.Third, this paper makes a comparation on electricity consumption of VRV floor heating system. From the comparation between continuous operation and intermittent operation 8.5 hours, we can know that intermittent operation can save more electricity compared with continuous operation in the premise of that the temperature of the room is not lower. Because of the storage and release property caused by the floor covering layer, the heat from the floor releases slowly after the cessation of heating. The temperature of room increases to a certain value firstly in the thermal delay, and then reduces smoothly. The current research on operation characteristics of floor heating intermittent has shown that intermittent operation can ensure the comfort of the room and save the operation costs under a good building thermal insulation conditions and a reasonable intermittent operation strategy.Finally, through the study on a district of an actual engineering in Nanchang, the comparative analysis of the initial investment and operation costs of the multifunctional VRV system of floor heating and other heating methods, we can draw a conclusion that multi-function VRV air source heat pump central air conditioning system saves more costs than central air conditioning with wall mounted gas boiler both in the aspects of initial investment and operating costs. It is an ideal choice to get warm. And it has irreplaceable advantages in comparison to other heating modes, especially for small and medium construction such as vacation sea view rooms and villas.
