Research On Spaceborne CAN Bus System Based On Powerline

The cables to manage system and transmiss data between loads in the satellite system are very complex. Abundant satellite signal cables not only increase the weight, resulting in payload weight share declined, but also increase the workload of integrated wiring greatly.CAN(Controller Area Network) belonging to field bus category, is an effective support of distributed control and real-time control of the serial bus communication network. With its reliable, real-time, flexible, and other prominent advantages, CAN agreement is playing an increasingly important role in satellite communication systems.This paper research a CAN bus system which based on power line communication(PLC) technology. The system is used to replace the existing satellite service CAN bus system. The system also simulates the actual situation of the satellite system in power bus length, noise, impedance and other aspects. Firstly this paper introduces the application background and present situation of the development of PLC technology. Secondly, the main technology principles of power line carrier communication and CAN bus are introduced. Meanwhile, the relevant technical principles are also analyzed and compared, which provide a substantial theoretical basis for the design. Thirdly, this paper discusses the detailed design of the PLC module, FSK modulation and demodulation system and CAN bus module.Finally, this paper makes a simulation test and realizes the system.This paper completed the overall design and verification of spaceborne CAN bus system based on powerline. The system uses power line communication mode to replace conventional signal lines for data transmission. The implementation results show that the system’s data transfer rate can reach 100 Kbps in FSK modulation and demodulation mode.
