Construction phase is the most direct and concentrated stage of the impact on the environment and the consumption of resources, Green Construction has become an essential requirement for building projects. Establishing a scientific and effective evaluation system for Green Construction and exploring applicative green construction evaluation method is benefit to promoting the development of green construction.To assess these management and activities in construction phase systematically and objectively, a whole green construction assessment indicator system was established through reference of the indicators of existing green building assessment system and broad investigation, and corresponding assessment grade criteria of each indicator is developed. Then the weighting of each indicator is awarded through AHP and green construction assessment model is created using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. On this basis, the green construction management of Yongming building project in Tongling city is introduced and the green construction assessment model is applied to the project, which has proven its practicability.Green construction assessment helps to set standards to evaluatecontractor’s performance and provide a tool for their self-assessment, which is helpful for contractor’s continuous improvement on environmental performance.
